(giggle) I guess THIS removes any still surviving speculation that Dale did NOT work in front of the camera while working in the adult film industry.

And at the same time, drawing a double underline under the question of WHY she would go from that career, to a minimum wage coffee slinging job.

The reaction of your average person when they hear how she earns a living, and there are things you really don’t want to turn into something you *have* to do to pay your rent or put food on the table. Not because your ashamed but because it is too easy for “work” to become perfunctory and boring, even when it starts out being something you love at the start.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Becky . . . I think the last time was when her meds fell into the disposal and Tina went medieval on Becky’s insurance company.

Tags say we saw her 3 years ago… but that was as a punchline to Tina not knowing how to take time off for herself, instead of an arc-type appearance. Time before that was the insurance company thing 8½ years ago that you mentioned, though.

Far enough back that I don’t think we knew at the time just why one specific voice, the one helping her, was showing up grey.

I love a good cafe arc…I hope we stay here awhile.

I like Dale’s kind of “aw shucks” personality, but I imagine she could be/probably is terrifyingly hot when she goes full succubus…

    A coffee for 1.50?
    That sounds rather inexpensive.

For a plain black drip coffee, that’s in a reasonable range. Most places that aren’t a big chain have that for anywhere from $1.25-$2.50 in my area, depending on the quality of the beans.

Remember also, Wapsi Square is a work of fiction. Coffee in NEVER that inexpensive in real life…

She’s grown a fair bit over the past 20 years.

Okay. Here’s the scene. You’re in a coffee shop starting a new job. You’re all ready to learn and your coworker offers to teach you the ropes.

    Aaaaaaaaaand, ACTION!!!

    PS. Don’t tell Paul.
