I think the “She can’t be my friend again.” line, pretty much shows that, YES, Jin IS indeed trying to make people hate her. Or at least make Shelly hate her.
There’s just one thing. Apparently, not all the “She’s” in Jin’s mental monologue mean Shelly. As in: “Someone told Jin that Shelly can’t be her friend again”. As for who this “She” is, well…

Once again … Shelly misses the forest for the trees, because of course, contrary to her actions, Jin is not trying to make people hate her.

First time reader here, but it seems that Jin is using her memories of a prior groundhog day loop – and also going by PriorLoop!Shelly’s own wishes.
