At least we now know Alana is a harpy, and welcome back Paul! Seasons greetings to you & your family from Down Under. Just a suggestion for the Xmas – New year holiday period; take a break from the comic and come back in 2020 refreshed & batteries recharged. Your comic is well worth waiting for . . .

Third this thinking: take the holiday season off, get better, get rested, come back next year healthier, physically and mentally

Has Ruri been taking lessons from Conscience? or attempting to parse HTML using a regular expression?

Okay, Ruri can be scary, too. (Hope you’re feeling better.)

What makes a teapot angry? Treating it like a kettle. It really steams them.

    Wait.

I thought Skylar was a full on Succubus? Is she a Succubus/Siren too?

Skylar’s father is human, according to her mother.

    Atsali: Ruri can’t be scary.
    Ruri: Challenge accepted.

I laughed out loud at this one! Two paranormals who usually are cute girls can become terrifying themselves doubting another cute paranormal could also be extremely terrifying!

Well, they are teenage girls, too.

Hey look, it’s a tempest in a teapot!

She switched instantly from a nice sedate “Earl Grey, hot” right to a storm-agitated “Lapsang Souchong”.

That would scare most tea drinkers pretty badly.

Let’s go back to the “Atsali vs. the Giant Bear (Nadette)” scene, shall we?

How about the “Ripping Tsilla’s Mom’s Head Off” one?

I was thinking of just how scary Atsali could appear. I would have taken my chances with the giant bear.

Never suggest to a Japanese spirit that they can’t be scary.

Okay, which word is Sali saying is a ‘catch-all’? Only two of those critters she mentioned in panel two could be classed under ‘Ghost’
In most cases, a ‘ghost’ is a ‘non-corporeal entity’

      Yokai.

Oh, thank you, thought she meant ghost
Butt yeah, ‘Yokai’ is kinda the Japanese ‘catch-all’, been reading “Mononoke Sharing” by Coolkyousinnjya (they also did the “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid” series), and that features quite a few different creatures, will have to find one of the books to check just what they are called (one is like Yuuko, except not sure if she can go non-corporeal, and another is a frog-girl)

Found the book, the various Mononoke sharing the house are: a Youko, a Yukionna, a ‘devil’, a Kappa (the frog-girl) and a Rokurokubi (what Yuuko seems to be)
They even ended up with a Nurikabe (a wall mononoke, literally, she is a wall when not in human shape) and met a Noppera-bou (has no face)

Lot of great Japanese ‘monsters’ in the series
