Honest, and immensely appealing. I’d dust her books any day.

Continuity alert – scarf (?) in frame two, bare throat in frame one.

    Hi, Old Wolf.

Actually, it’s there – just not very prominently drawn.

Hey Fatuncle. I’m looking closely, I think there’s a scarf in Frame 1 also, just sketchily drawn… I think.

Well, it’s there *now*. I happened to check in last night right after that comment was posted. It was indeed missing before – missing completely, that is.

No biggie. Good catch fatuncle. And an easy fix for Paul.

        Just… sayin’, I guess?

Monica and her demons might not like what they hear.

Honesty may not be the best policy right now Phix.

They’re going to ruin a perfectly good scarf when they decapitate her? Is there no end to the horror?

I get the feeling something’s not gonna go as everyone planned and it’ll turn out fine; or not.

    Oh dear, oh dear…

    Q. What is the meaning of life?

    Q. What it the question to the answer of the meaning of life?

    Q. What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen sparrow?

    Lather, rinse, repeat…

Yeah, you have to know these things when you’re the king.

But you really have to know them when you are the guardian of the Bridge of Death.

Pablo is giving Monica a darker complexion … or am i just remembering wrong?

M’s a latina. She naturally has a slightly darker complexion. In the old B/W line-draw days, he couldn’t easily show this.

And I’m still betting that something goes wrong and the next day’s strip will begin with the “naiive and a pushover” comic… but there’ll be a twist.

I know she’s a latina – i just don’t recall him toning her this way (and i’m too lazy to look back) – recall her being just like the other caucasian characters.

In this case, Honesty is a Flexible Bullet kind of thing. Between the question and answer, might be a lot of collateral damage. But, in the right hands, it becomes more of a energy weapon wielded with surgical precision. In Lady Phix’s case, emitters placed securely under each wing.

(I like the clouds on her sleep mask, those who can fly probably dream of the sky often)

Phix’s face is a little too wide in the last panel (and/or her eyes are too far apart), IMO. Also, Phix is not nearly *erm* endowed enough to give her that kind of cleavage.

So how about you draw her the way she’s supposed to look, and post the results for our evaluation?

“If there’s one thing that I am, I’m honest.” -> Does that include threatening to strangle people to death who stumble upon your library Phix (meaning it’s not ‘just’ a scare tactic)? Seems Monica and Shelly were in more danger visiting the library than we thought.

If I known that my comment would end in so many nits being picked to death, I’d have kept my big mouth shut. Or my fingers off the keys, or something … sorry, Paul.

I’ve been watching your comics since the beginning. I even have the first Wapsi Square publishing (at least I think it’s the first) which is the little black and blue book with Mon, Dietzel, and Tepoz on the cover. As time’s gone on, your drawing has got better and better. I really like the new layout and shading on the characters. Awesome work!

I agree with jwhouk. I’m actually excited to see if we’re right. 🙂 It would be neat to see if they do have to do it all over again and if so does that mean Monica will have a diff. friend like the book suggested?
