I think people wondering where M learned to Poit here are missing the point. To me, it always seemed like this *was* a true Poit, but she was purely running on instinct. Just thinking about where she wanted to go, and because she could, that’s what she did. I mean, that’s essentially what a Poit is. Over time, she just learned to do it more consciously.
OK no sign of Brandi, so M must have ‘poited’ herself….but dagnabit why can’t I figure out when and how she learned???
I don’t think she did “poit” in the sense you mean, I think she simply returned to the Library following the path that Brandi showed her.
As time goes on, the wider applications become apparent.
I also like the fact that Phix points out that Shelly really DID need to see the cover of the book.
