This could have gone,.. so much worse.
That said, just how old IS Dietzel? His obvious human-level intelligence and opposable thumbs don’t appear to be all that is unusual about him.
His exposure to both the library and the Fae Magics worked on him have extended his life by a consiserable amount. How much only the author knows for sure.
Nope – it was Shelly more recently; since the start of the Human Digit storyline. In fact, as i recall, when Dietzel startled Digit and she lost her human shape {back to the extra arms and a spider face} and jumped up out of her chair toward Shelly {who was there to work it out with her} Shelly went straight through the wall.
The jump-and-transform was later; that sequence starts here {http://wapsisquare.com/comic/with-your-face/} when Shelly is – with great difficulty – talking to Digit to try to work it out; it happens here{http://wapsisquare.com/comic/no-reason/} … and teo pages later, all is resolved
Heh. I remember when people thought that the Internet would drive all languages besides English to extinction. But nowadays a cartoon can include a Japanese word with reasonable expectation that people will understand it. Then there’s Finnish polkas, Swedish dances, and Latin American heavy metal – many of them sung by Japanese game characters…
That’s because English is a language that’s exceptionally good at mugging other languages and stealing their best words. It doesn’t preserve the other language particularly, but it means that in practice, almost any word can be considered English.
The Japanese thirst for foreign culture is unquenchable.
It’s been said that their embracing of Jazz may have been crucial to its revival in the US.
And we’re returning the honor. Anime and Manga are showing up everywhere now.
Georgette has gotten considerably chonk for her body type — naturally supermodel/heroin-chic slender — but I think that’s because for at least a decade her body was “home” to the disembodied soul of the pedophile who died raping her on the plane that crashed, killing everyone onboard except her and her sister.
He continued to exist inside her, Freddy-Krueger-style, violating her inner demons ever since within her PTSD until Monica went in and “vaporised” his soul into non-existence; it was at that time when Monica finally “came out” (to herself first) and had the “we need to talk” to her then-boyfriend.
Everyone’s inner demons feed off the mental energies generated by their human host, and those energies are easily replenished by the consumption of food, most of all pizza in the Wapsiverse. The amount of energy Georgette’s inner demons needed to withstand a veritable Nightmare-on-Elm-Street psychic assault every night would have been considerable.
That is, indeed, very cute.
A repeat of when Digit and Dietzal used to cuddle up😄😅

I’m sure he misses the pizza girl very much.
And obviously the spider is used to them . . .
Thought for a time Georgette was going to do a Shelly.
As Paul corrected me on Patreon when I thought something similar – the arachnophobe some time ago was Amanda.

Post-Google: No, Shelly mad the hole the FIRST time she met Digit {it was Monica’s fault} – https://wapsisquare.com/comic/in-real-life/

Mostly it was the ones in and around this: http://wapsisquare.com/comic/no-reason/ that made me think that.
Prior to Shelly getting frightened by Digit: http://wapsisquare.com/comic/fell-down-a-well/ and the following few comics. =)

I read manga and watch subtitled anime a LOT and have picked up several words and phrases! Kawaii indeed.
Now, how long until Digit, Kath, Shelly, and maybe Amanda, all show up‽
Digit, who normally doesn’t show much emotion, is going to frown up about this tableau…
Wait, when did Jet get big boobies? o_O
Not complaining, just wondering

That, or artistic error on Paul’s part.
Aaaand, She’s a little bit older now and may have filled out some more. (notthattheresanythingwrongwiththat…)
Thank you: for explaining, and taking the time to explain in an easily-to-understand way 😀
Many people wouldn’t
if that doesn’t melt your heart, NOTHING ever will!
