Are we SURE that DAYLLA isn’t one of the Blackthorn plants that were used as a basis for Pickle? i mean Daylla is definitely quite wise here in how she’s relating to reality, AND to what Pickle needs/wants AND as to how Pickle’s been ignoring her suggestions the last few minutes…
in fact… have we ever been told what species that Daylla and her Mom ARE?… I’m suddenly thinking that they could possibly even be Blackthorn plants themselves… the only flaw i see in this line of thought is that we’ve been told, by in-universe sources, that Blackthorn are immobile… so i guess that leaves Daylla and her Mom out of that… then again, what a good cover story as well… nobody would be looking for MOBILE Plants either!…
IIRC, the main effects of a lightning storm are production of nitrogen oxides, some ozone, and the transitory lightning itself. Maybe Castela could eat some fertilizer, go play in traffic when it’s smoggy in the daytime, or stand next to the school’s Van-de-Graff down in the physics lab. Or eat some chocolate.
Considering the fact that Castela slurps lightening bolts directly, somehow I think all these remedies are wholly inadequate. Nothing short of grounding out a high tension power line is going to satisfy the little stinkweed, and I get the impression that kind of activity might be frowned upon by the MIB.
Likely true, but I remember what happened when Garion created a storm to stop several armies of Arends from fighting; Belgarath almost tore his head off! Castela might end up burying Monica’s island in butterflies (and yes, I know that she’s at home right now)!
There’s the matter of one point twenty one gigawatts passing through you, but unless you’ve got a flux capacitor and a DeLorean time machine what good will it do you?
If you already have them, you’re okay. But many types are no longer available in standard retail channels. For the last few years, here in Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A., the only place I saw 100W incandescent bulbs were clearance stores like Dollar Tree™

Same over here: went through a period of those ‘eco-friendly’ fluorescent-type for awhile (several different types and shapes), now they are moving towards LED lights in everything from torches to household light bulbs

To be honest -every- kid has an unrealistically high level of wit, cleverness and experience in the comic.

It would be nice to know more about Daylla. Hoping it is being withheld because it’s a plot point for sometime in the future.
