“He dragged her up his winding stair, into his dismal den,
Within his little parlour – but she ne’er came out again!
– And now, dear little children, who may this story read,
To idle, silly, flattering words, I pray you ne’er give heed:
Unto an evil counsellor, close heart, and ear, and eye,
And take a lesson from this tale, of the Spider and the Fly.”
The Japanese term for resting one’s boobs on a table (either a desk, work surface or low kotatsu table) is “takujo no chichi,” which literally means “table boobs.” Why did I learn this today? No reason.
Curiosity question – Tina can read auras, that’s a given. But most (all?) of her customers that I’ve seen are paras of one form or another. Do mainline humans have the same auras or does she have trouble with anticipating their requests?
Oh, snap, I was right. And that’s holding back?
Can’t say I think much of those “hot candy bars masquerading as coffee drinks,” but, well, Tina probably knows best.
Plan A was just a literal flash bang
Tina continues to be the best. ~<3
“Cheese an’ Koalas”?
I like it!
Tina’s demons seem to be getting rambunctious…
Welcome to my parlor, said the spider to the fly.
Or
Hey, little girl, would you like some candy-coffee?

Thanks for that! Always wondered about that rhyme.
Re: TokenFudd: That’s just the last verse. You’ll find the rest in the Wikipedia entry.

It’s these bait-and-switch tactics that Tina used what awe me…
Make mine tea, Tina. A nice–
A nice Nuwara Eliya with two Splendas? Here you go.
Tina, you’re a star.
knowing Tina, you wouldn’t have to say even THAT; you’d walk in and there’s your tea waiting for you before you even uttered one syllable…

She can read the auras of humans as well. =) She just doesn’t spring things on humans who aren’t in the know like paras.
