And, Monica succeeds in carrying out the famous “dig yourself in deeper while you’re at it” maneuver. Last time I remember her doing that was with Phix, and it got her yelled at. Girlfriend Glare is quieter but probably just as effective.
Truth be told, I wondered about the timing.

And the flip side of Monica having been in Georgette’s head is that Monica knows the “why” of Georgette’s thinking. Love is hard sometimes.
I didn’t know this. I’m actually feeling kind of lost in the current story arc.

Be warned in advance… the subject matter involves rape, and it’s intense and often painful to read. Those two ladies went through Hell as children.
Pretty painful to read for other reasons, too. Hadn’t seen Jette in years IRL time, bam suddenly in the comic again, bam suddenly her and Monica are soul mates and she leaves Kevin.
Jet shares some of M’s trauma, since she was a rape victim in the hospital following the plane crash.

I’m trying to figure out how long I’ve been reading it, but it’s just making my head hurt. I found it early, “lost” it for awhile when I finished school ava stopped reading web comics completely, then found it again a few years later.

Has it really been 17 years? Can’t remember when started reading this, probably something like between 15 and 10 years (probably closer to 10, it was well before the Calendar Machine arc and the Mayan Prophecy bit)
