Cheeky Mini-Dietzel! Poking his tongue out at Nudge 😛

Really hoping the girls turn back and invite Doctor Nudge along as well 😀

“What is reality, and why does it keep following me around?”

Pretty faithful to the movie. I often wonder if, as the crew of the Surprise is beating to quarters and making the turn to raise the Archeron before Valparaiso, if in fact the French had successfully escaped the brig and overpowered poor Pullings…

I just check (yes, I am one of those people) and it could be that the girls just read (or had read to them) the Patrick O’Brien series. I took it as such before checking, but either way, having an week of Aubery/Maturin references just made my week!

    Keep up the excellent work.

    Oh, Man … I want a ‘Bop-A-Ball’ unit.
It looks cool. I can bug the neighbors – on both sides of my house. They will never figure out where it was coming from. Hee Hee Heeeeeee!

Are they playing with the dog or playing with the dog?
    Or both??

    Oops.
    Again:

Are they playing with the dog or playing with the dog?
    Or both??

After reading this again on my current archive dive I can only think of the words of the great Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka : “A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.”

Nudge’s horns seem to be a lot smoother here than they were when she first made her appearance at Tina’s coffee shop 🤔

Than her introduction pages? Of course those would be high-detail, meeting her for the first time.
Cartoonists reserve the right to draw fewer details as suits the scene, and their intentions for it. The entire medium of comic art could be considered a form of Impressionist style (as opposed to Realism). Note that the depiction of Calista in the top left corner is extremely simplified. You still know who it is, don’t you?

Then don’t just stand there, Nudge. Get on board. Next port of call – Waffles! (I think that’s in France.)
