Sayria is right…this is a great scene. The 4th Panel is a great line. I know Bud isn’t talking about society enforcing it’s own rules…but enforcing them on HER. I didn’t know Shelly could be so insightful.
I love this strip – especially because it shows Shelly being wise beyond her years – wiser than she gives herself credit for – just when it is most needed. With her great physical strength and profound insecurities she is a perfect foil and mentor for Bud 😉
One thing you never see happen with the “can’t be harmed by bullets” type heroes, what happens when the bullets ricochet off his chest and hit an innocent bystander?

..i really enjoy Shelly’s stumped expression in the 3rd panel. That’s a “FUCK. Good question.” face if i’ve ever seen one.. lol.
