A (visible) tattoo is just shy of an automatic no on a great deal of professional level interviews. When your trying to sell something to people your view of your self means nothing. Their view of you is the only thing that matters, and for good or ill, most people have their own opinion on what a tattoo means.

Remember this was 2008–and attitudes on ink have been evolving quickly for the last few decades. It’s noticeable even over just 5 (or 3) years.
