Well, it is nice to see somebody having a good time. Since she does appear to be happy, I take it that this was part of Jin’s plan as well? So it appears that Brandi and Jin had the same idea, so what was all this planning behind each other’s backs? Would it not have been easier if everybody knew they were all on the same page?

      January 7, 2010, 12:08 am | # | Reply

Maybe it would have been easier all around, but misdirection would have been better to distract those demons from the girl’s intent. 🙂

      At least that’s my thoughts.

Jin’s Doubt was part of the problem. That meant that Jin had to be left out of the most critical decisions, or her Doubt would find out and manipulate things against it… Which could easily have been a problem any number of previous iterations

I have a feeling that Jin has never been to this part of the game before (as she said).

Regardless – having that time machine go through you is gonna leave a mark. Or give the girl a world-class case of indigestion (those poor people at the water treatment plant…)

Ummm, has Monica been through some sort of inter-dimensional rotation that turned her holster ’round the other way?

It’s official. I am completely lost. I’ll read it again when it’s all over but all the same… what is happening here???/
Artwork continues to be awesome, which is why I’m still watching.

    • Saku
      January 7, 2010, 10:30 am | # | Reply

So if you’re still watching, and plan to reread it to see what you missed, you’re still leaving a comment threatening to be the one fan who leaves?

      Dude. That’s just not cool.

      • Tux
        January 7, 2010, 12:06 pm | #

That’s not a threat to leave — it’s just why Tolken is staying with it daily. The comment was meant to say that otherwise the comic would be temporarily abandoned and re-read when it came to a conclusion. Fast-forwarding, so to speak. At least, that’s what I got out of it.

I’m confused, it looks like the one demon is helping? Why is that?

    • BMonk
      December 4, 2024, 6:13 pm | # | Reply

Look at the faces and hair: M’s Doubt is echoing Monica. She’s a good demon, getting M to act and grow up, and to learn to deal with her demons. It’s Jin’s Doubt that is the problem, and needs to be disposed of – and is currently being sucked into wherever M’s door goes.

Nevermind, I just rechecked the previous comic and it makes more sense.

This really is getting interesting. I like the frame with Shelly and the other deamon helping to hold Monica in place/upright from the things going through the doorway.

Ok, I’ve held off on commenting earlier…did Jin have some work done, or is her shirt just really small? she seems to have grown in size the past few comics.

    • Paul Taylor
      January 7, 2010, 9:12 am | # | Reply

Jin is just wearing a very tight shirt (not in her character as she’s a bit off the deep end) and it’s just squeezing her boobs together more.

      • Bucky Katt
        January 7, 2010, 10:35 am | #

What? I though Jin always wore tight shirts that squeeze her boobs together. How long has she been out of character?

      • Paul Taylor
        January 7, 2010, 11:06 am | #

It’s more like someone wearing a cocktail dress to a gunfight.

      • Bucky Katt
        January 7, 2010, 6:29 pm | #

If James Bond can wear a tuxedo to one, then Jin can wear a cocktail dress. I’m just sayin’.

Actually, aren’t there several TV shows currently built around that premise?

Things seem to be at a critical juncture — when small (in)actions can have big consequences. Jin could really mess things up with a bit of lunacy while everyone is distracted by the precipice.

    My main question is:

Water Buffalo doing coming this late into the equation?

As for Jin and her changing wardrobe, didn’t something similar happen to Invisible Woman back a couple of decades or so ago? When she had the Malice entity hiding out in her head, she kept making her Fantastic Four uniform more and more “daring” to the point where she was wearing a two-piece swimsuit. It was generally out of character, only explained as the result of what the team was going through at the time, but the truth eventually came out.

As for the Mirror Ball: GOOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!!

Hah hah hah! I’m loving Jin’s, “Wheee!” and seeing just how much fun she’s having with the chaos of the moment and watching things come to a (presumably) good end this time around. She’s a great character Paul. All of them are. 🙂

    • SoWhyMe
      January 7, 2010, 7:09 pm | # | Reply

I think “Wheee” is just her way of saying “I love it when a plan comes together!” Either that or a gust of whirly wind just blew up her butt.

I actually found you through snafu-comics’ store – I saw the poster and NEEDED to know more! =)

    SO AWESOME COMIC!

Maybe you can make a demon book with info on all the demons and a short comic (like 1 pg)… I’d buy that. =)

Also – I really didn't get the water buffalo comment. Anyone refresh me? (Or is it just an analogy to size?)

The water buffalo is just an analogy to how big the demon and machine is. Thanks for stopping by in addition to the book store:

there is also the “shop section”:
      http://wapsisquare.com/shop/

and at the bottom of each comic is the button to buy a print of that comic. =)

OK, does this mean that, since the demon world is not affected by time, whatever is in it is, likewise, not affected by time? Meaning the calendar will be outside of time as we experience it and no longer able to affect anything here? Does this also mean they did not actually “fix” it, but simply disposed of it? Will it now be a problem for the demon world in some way?
