I don’t keep as up-to-date as most peope on here… but don’t para’s usually have some degree of illusion or shape shifting abilities? She can go from a thornbush to flowers, to her normal visage, and to full human appearance, occasionally, can’t she?
Many of the paranormals seem to be fitting into a permanent, perhaps preordained, form for their adult human guise. Just like us they aren’t always happy with how things work out.
I get the impression that the paranormals are far more concerned with how their human side turns out than their para side. Social interaction, up to and including procreation, is why they have gone to such great lengths to establish and maintain anonymity in the mundane world after all.
My impression is that *most* paras have a specific human form. Remember, Atsali was impressed by Berdine and Nadette’s shape-shifting, and Tsillah’s ‘shape-shifting’ is illusion.
Off the top of my head, the only full shape-shifters are the ursamorphs; everyone else seems to have a specific number of defined forms.
Castela will probably have some tweaking available as she gets more experience (like Jin – stable basic form with hair and claw changes).
