OK, please let this be the start of a story arc where we find there really is someone controlling the weather (Snow Queen?) who likes to mess with Monica.
It’s disingenuous to suggest that six inches of snow out of nowhere on a tropical island doesn’t demand an explanation. Or that it’s because of Monica’s ‘control’. Maybe it’s Jin’s doing and she’s trying to divert attention from that?
There’s a character in one of Douglas Adams’ books who has similar problems. How’d it go? ‘He didn’t know he was a rain god, he just knew that it rained everywhere he went. The clouds didn’t know either, they just knew they loved him, and wanted to follow him everywhere.’ <-Monica could be in a similar situation.
My mother told me I shouldn’t expect life to be fair. Dad was the one who made sure I knew about the personal vendetta.
heh to be fair this happened to Monica way to many times.
Given the improbability of snow on a tropical island, I don’t think Monica is being that egotistic here.
ITS AN EVIL CONSPIRACY, MONICA! ALL THE CLOUDS ARE PLOTTING AGAINST YOU!!! MWAHAHAHAHAA
Thank you for having the main characters back, even if it’s only for a couple of pages, I was missing them. Thanks! Ed.
Given the givens in this comic, I suspect that we could very well be about to be told exactly who controls the weather.
You mean, we are about to be introduced to another character? o_O
Not sure if some readers could cope with that, they still can’t get over having Sali and the other junior Para’s getting the spotlight
Okay, Mon needs to, as calmly as possible, explain what has been happening to her to make her believe the Clouds are evil and vindictive
Bend at the knees, Jin! Sheesh, some people have no concern for the longevity of their backs.
She’s a animated statue even if she can die now, she’ll be fine 😉
And i would also question the weather if it even followed her like it did, even more so with all the Dieties and magic around now.
You only need to bend at the knees if you are picking something up, not just leaning over

I’m just happy to see the old characters back!
Jin’s just trying to get Monica to relax and enjoy the beach. I only wish Monica looked like Monica.

I was just going to say that but you said perfectly.
It was one of the books in the “Hitch(-❓)hiker’s …” series.
Louis L’Amour had a character the Zuni called Shalako, after their rain god, because every time he showed up in their country it rained . . .
Observe that Jin is actually controlling the weather.
Or just poiting the snow away?
Jin’s line is what is known among comedians as a “set up”…
