I like how there’s the praying going on behind Monica, very amusing touch. I also love how freaked out she looks, seems like she might die of a heartattack before they get the chance to kill her.

Now she starts to panic. What is she going to be like, come 48 hours later? So, who does she need to trust, Bandi, Bud, or Shelly? Jin?

Well, if this were a normal conversation involving two normal human beings (which it isn’t, scoring about one out of three), the “she” would most likely be Jin.

Given Tina’s usual somewhat-less-than-firmly-attached-to-current-reality state … maybe Phix?

I haven’t a clue. Really. I’m just going to have some more Dr Pepper and hope for a theophany. You’ll find me in Ward V, High Security Lockdown, Self-Committed. Orange crush?

I’m just excited that Paul’s art is transforming into more detail as we get ready for the blessed event.

Since you are in a Mayan temple, blood sacrifice would certainly be needed. But when a king, for example, cuts his own veins the sacrifice relies in part on the parties knowing what they are doing and what is happening to them.

Monica is showing her smarts by realizing some sort of blood sacrifice is needed, and not knowing now what that would be she is right to be afraid.

In passing, this new format is going to make future books quite impressive.

….Unless “New Moon” involves going to the movies. In which case, I am going to find a nice big bottomless pit to hide in until it all blows over, or up. Maybe a bottomless cup of coffee instead.

I can see that this new format is going to make the layout of your books very simple for you.. But damnit, it doesn’t fit on a web page. Won’t you please reduce its size for the web just a little so we don’t have to scroll through the comic? (My screen is at 1920×1200, in case you were assuming that I’m complaining unreasonably at 800×600 or something.)

Part of the way that I’m laying these out is so that you have to scroll. That way you don’t see everything at once. =)

I like it. With comics laid out in a line I always ruin it by just glancing ahead, so the comic loses its desired effect.

Well, if it’s actually part of the plan then I must accept, no matter how much it irritates.
        Thanks for your reply.

I definitely like it. I do not resent scrolling down. That’s reasonable and the direction in which westerners normally read their text; it feels natural.

I HAD found needing to zoom in my browser so I could read the small text, and then having to scroll sideways for the last half of the last panel a bit annoying.

        I approve these changes!

These panels recently became very ambitious.

It just gets better and better, Paul. Thanks for taking us along on this crazy ride…wherever it ends up.

I don’t get where Monica’s betrayal anxiety is coming from. I get that she might feel out of the loop but it seems a big jump to assume she is going to be sacrificed. The rogue daemon’s comments didn’t seem that to point to that.
