Would “last five pages” be the previous five or is she supposed to jump to the end of the book?
Or, is there perhaps only six pages left?

I interpreted it as the final five pages.

As if something goes wrong at the last minute and Bud has to fix it.
(Or has to do what must be done.)

I don’t think it could be the previous five, I think it must be the final five. If it were the previous five, then Brandi would have already read them, and I don’t think the Brandi(s) that wrote the book would be stupid enough to tell her to skip five pages, then make her HURRY to rip out that page and the previous five.

    Hey,
I’m glad to see the new changes to the site. So much so I went back to read the old stuff again. I it is still as good as the first time.

Ok, I’m about to show my geek side.
I know the story arc has progress/changes as time has gone by, but I can’t help but wonder: Will we get to find out what ever became of “Owen & Lakshmi”?

Seconded. Also, what of Jaqui and Amanda? (and the adorable Selinium)

In my crystal ball which shows the future, I can reveal to you that Owen and his girl shall be mentioned in 2012.

So, do any of those pages tell Bud what to say when either Brandi or Phix discovers that she just ripped up a checked out library book? I know this is for the greater good, saving all of existence and all that, but still, bad Bud, that is not how we treat a book.

Phix won’t care here copy is always complete

I like the fact that due to the Library effect, the torn-out pages will be there, and available for the next loop if need be.

I’m mean its likely Buds done this more than a few times.

I wonder if Bud realizes that the good ol’ “cough cover” isn’t quite as convincing when you’re an immortal being incapable of catching a cold.

Of course, the joke is that the sixth page (the one before the last five) is, “Okay, now that you have the ice cream scoop and the banana in place, and Shelly (or whatever her name is) is holding the hammer with the cup of coffee and the flashlight, and all the dolls are in place, this is all you need to do:”

And the instructions are what’s on the last five pages that Bud just ripped out.

I haven’t finished an entire book in years. I always get the same message about halfway though and keep losing the last five pages.

LOL! Sneaky Bud! And even sneakier Brandi! But Brandi didn’t give Bud any instructions on what she (Bud) should say to herself (Brandi) to cover up her (Brandi) own instructions (getting a headache now)

In light of later events… do you think Brandi was the one who panicked the last time out?
