I wish I had a high metabolism, then I wouldn’t be fat. I’d be Normal. yes, so very normal… as far as I go.

I have a high metabolism and often get grumbled at because I eat all the time and my weight doesn’t budge. I’ve taken to flipping the tables on them and pointing out that I HAVE to eat like that to maintain my weight. I don’t have a choice in the matter either, I HAVE to find and consume 2 or 3 days worth of food every day just to keep from losing weight. I eat a lot of junk food simply because I get tired of eating and it’s fat and calorie dense.

    Frankly, I’m sick of it.

I can relate to this. I’m overweight (not even fat, just overweight) now but that was thanks to me having periods where in addition to my normal food I was eating 3500 kilo calories in candy (yes that is 1.5 times daily caloric intake just in candy) roughly every other day for months on end, until they finally pegged me as being chronic depressive.

First reaction when people who don’t know me hear about that is disbelief. Until I prove it by going through a kg ( that is 2 pounds for the poor people who haven’t heard of the metric system) of licorice in minutes and go on to eat more. Then they wonder why I’m not looking like that Michelin mascot.

Man, high metabolisms must suck. In the long run, you have to pay for more food more often, get bankrupted, and still are envied by people for some reason.

It’s worse when a high metabolism damps down. If you don’t notice, the “Freshman Fifteen” can bring a few friends.
