Guess she disagrees? Hard to make your point sometimes when you’re tossed unceremoniously over someone’s shoulder and carried out.

    Interesting.

It seems as if Tina – that is, the full committee – may not even be aware of what Tina – that is, one of her components – said…

No she is fully aware of what she said.
She just wants to know if the girls still want their coffee.

This is Tina after all :)

I wonder if Paul gave Jin round eyes to match the round eyes of the girl. In theory, it could have been the ghost girl saying that her house was vaporized, but there were palm trees around her house, not pine. There were mountains in the background, though.

Jin (and everyone else) had just been in the temple with a special connection to the spirit world. Jin’s demon was defeated or very distracted there. I’m guessing that allowed the ghost to establish a connection with Jin.

There are two “little girls” – one is Shelly’s conscience, one is a little girl from thousands of years ago, who may or may not have existed, and haunts Bud’s dreams.

She (if she really existed and isn’t just a figment of Bud’s nightmares) was vapourised in the catastrophe when the chimera (mostly acting on Bud’s rage, if i read and remember aright). Bud’s nightmares show her looking out of her home and seeing the wall of plasma coming…

It seems Monica still has a couple of issues about turning out to NOT actually be the center of the Universe like she always imagined. I dunno what she’s pissed about — so she turned out to be the clown car instead of a clown, it happens.

Don’t forget that doubt has been beating on her sense of self-worth. She’s going to pretty fragile. Plus she is a scientist and understanding things is very important to her. If she doesn’t understand something, she has no idea what to do. Also, I doubt that she understands that was just one of Tina’s demons talking. It probably was a bit of a shock to her that Tina would say something like that. And she’s just plain frightened for her safety, of course.

Bud doesn’t seem to be taking what Tina said with a grain of salt. Tina warned her to do that here and on the following page. Tina could be wrong. Even if Tina is correct, Bud could be jumping to the wrong conclusion. I don’t particularly think so, though.

I never understood why Tina was so insistent about Bud taking what she said with a grain of salt…

I am left with the distinct impression that Monica isn’t quite as recovered from the emotional roller-coaster ride of dealing with the calendar machine as she thought she was. Hey, she was bored and wanted to start hunting for trouble; why should she be upset over trouble coming to her first?

Actually, I don’t think that she wanted to hunt for trouble. She was worried that another shoe would drop. And she used the term “supernatural hassle“. Yes she was bored, but she didn’t want much of an adventure, either.

Of course, Tepoz all but guaranteed that a shoe would drop…

    hmm

i have always wondered why the chimera distroyed so much.
Anger can be very focused sometimes. sure they would have vapourised anyone close-by and stuff but that would have calmed em down a little.

Perhaps they technically only distroyed the close-to-the-pit part but the kid was in that part and she kinda egged em on to kill the rest.

I like this comic :) makes me think and consider what can happen next :D Even if im totally wrong its still fun to do so :D

Yeah, usually I got the impression that it was all one big “blam”. Granted, the dream made it look as if it was a series of smaller blams.

In any case, there wasn’t anything other than Jin, who wasn’t strong enough, to stop the destruction. There wasn’t anything inside Bud or Brandi at that point to say, “OK, that’s enough” or to even realize that there was anything wrong with what they were doing.

Basically the chimera destroyed everything that moved — when it ran out of things that moved anywhere in the range that it could sense, the chimera probably just stopped. Considering the power that each of the individual GGGs can bring to bear, the power of the chimera was far greater still — so you can expect that anything it attacked was obliterated, along with a vast area on all sides.
