I’ve always had a certain amount of sneaking admiration for Doubt. She’s resourceful, and sometimes betrays a cetain affection for Monica aside from their … professional … relationship.
Besides – she’s funny.
I will repeat my pevious thought from a couple days ago – In a sequence where the only characters present were Monica, Tina … and Doubt … Tina did one of her oracular bts and sais “You’re going to have to trust her”.
Sure – it could have referenced Jin, who had been in the previous two strips … or Shelly … or Bud … or Brandi …
If it wasn’t so close to changing the batteries in the Calendar, Doubt might have enjoyed the short time off. But crucial times don’t call for letting someone else do your job, even if it looks like they’re having a better run at it. Strange times foster strange symptoms.
How do you know when you have gone too far down Pity Lane? When your own doubt tells you to stop it.
So Monica needs to trust Doubt?
Uh. My head hurts, I’m-a goin’ to bed.
No. He wouldn’t. God knows they’re the reason I’m still reading.

But i’m thinking about good ol’ Doubt…
Just to point out the obvious… self-doubt can be a good thing when what you need to doubt about yourself is your fear and paranoia.
Whoa! I wonder what kind of Halitosis does a demon has… :O
Anyway, Monica’s acting like a boob… or a pair of in any case…
When the demon of Doubt has to make you remember you can Trust somebody, you’re in deep trouble…
Little off topic, but the new format of the website and the comic for the last few weeks are really fantastic!
Imagine what the last panel would look like to someone other than Monica. haha. “Imaginary strong gust of wind!”
And yeah, it is rather humorous that Monica’s doubt is the one telling Monica to stop doubting herself so much.
