If I recall correctly, Brandy is the Director, and Bud is the head of field operations. Both Monica and Kath have pull there. And Calista’s mother, the queen, is in MIB field Ops.
YES! Digit gets to stay with the people she’s been living with all along, and the Monica-as-a-mom storyline should give us LOTS of character development.
Now Digit’s only problem is how to appear human when mingling with humans. A relatively minor problem, now.
I also hope she smuggles Dietzel to school once or twice for shenanigans.
Well, Digit’s been around as long as the strip has, and hasn’t visibly aged. He’s probably at least 8 or 9 years old, but since he’s been exposed to so much para and fae magic, he likely ages much slower than your average dog.

Well, then. Digit, in her spider form, was around as a character for about three years. Wapsi time is likely a little different from our world, but in our world, a full year would be considered long lived for a jumping spider like Digit. However, Digit lived in the library before she started hanging out with Dietzel, and the library’s magic has interesting effects on its contents, so could have lengthened her lifespan. So as a spider, she was probably between 1-3 years old when she put on the talisman.
She manifested as a teenager when she transformed, leading me to believe she was the spider equivalent of a teenager when it happened.
Wait, so she can’t close the secondary eyes?! God that sucks. There’s been many a time when I’ve been glad of the fact that I can just shut the world out.
Or maybe, even in her distress, some part of her wanted to be able to watch what was going on and monitor the decisions that were being made about her life.
When the Jaguar Girl says she’ll be your guardian, you can bank on it!

The only way they can ‘close’ their eyes is to ‘de-focus’ AFIACS… the ‘side eyes’ are not that accurate, just ‘motion sensitive’ …
Judging by that article, Digit may have two more sets of eyes, further back on the sides of her head and thusly hidden under her hair.
