That’s crazy! An elf that size couldn’t use a human scale typewriter!
She specifically mentioned a “little” typed reply, so maybe the typewriter’s elf-sized? Which means the letter must be practically impossible to read.
Two-point type is magic… You can fit all of Shakespeare’s sonnets on a 3×5″ card.
Little elf doors like that are easy to make, or buy online. I’m planning to install a homemade one at the base of one of the apple trees on my property just for the fun of seeing who discovers it
