Holy christ, I’m a combat veteran with the scars to match and I just cried too… 🙂 I’m going through the archive and… you do some damned good work, man. Whatever projects you do in the future, keep ’em going.

I have been reading through for the past couple of days. I am enjoying the mixture of regular friends in the city story mixed with mythology, and the exploration of several characters deep pysche. I have to say that this page is probably the most stunning and well delivered webcomic page I have ever seen. Kudos!

I’ve only been reading this for 2 days and I’ve got to say… this is one of your most powerful and yet wonderful pages yet!

(Even though I totally saw this coming a mile away after seeing her inside her dream) 🙂

    This.is.friggin.AMAZING.
And it hit home pretty bad. Lost both parents in 4 years time. After that, never trusted anyone to be around long enough, figgerin’ they could be gone any moment, so “attachment’ could only lead to anguish, loss, and pain……

From the comic ,I see You have been either IN, or close to “that place”

    Kudos!

Having kept up with or caught up almost 100 different webcomics, some with 10 years of archives, I must say this is only the second or third page to make me tear up.

    Wow.

Been reading the archive for the last five hours. It’s late, work’s gonna be rough tomorrow, and my pillow is damp. But still, thanks.

Absolutely one of my favorite strips. I love the different art style, the lack of speech bubbles (which gives the whole thing an ethereal quality) and how the shapes of the words themselves help to convey how they’re speaking. Heather’s soothing cursive, Shelly’s angry, jagged capitals giving way to sad, shaky writing…

In short, I absolutely love this one.

Paul, this is the second time I’ve read this comic (I lost my internet for a couple of years and decided to start at #1 again) and both times I’ve cried at this one.

    Good work.

…apparently I’ve had a premature heart donation without my knowledge or consent, because I’m not even the least bit misty over here. ‘Course I’m also the guy who laughed at Seymore’s fate in ‘Jurassic Bark’, so take that as you will.

Otherwise, I love the storyline so far, the art and eyecandy are fantastic, and Paul has managed to get a great balance of humor and seriousnes. Well done!

Every time I read this it still brings a tear to my eye. And I was reading this serially when this strip was published.

Why does Shelly’s Mom look so much like Lakshmi here?

Up to this point I’ve been laughing and cheering and commiserating with the group … then this hits. You made me cry. I’m sitting there reading along then this hits me. People look at me like I’m strange. I wiped my eyes and then came back later. Nope, still crying. Well done, sir, very well done.

My 32 subpersonalities agree. Wapsisquare is well-written and well-drawn. And deserving of some awards.
