    The way to keep yourself from getting hung over is to drink plenty of water as you go — say, 1 8oz glass per drink. The worst part of a hangover is dehydration.

        Not having a gourd of alcohol poited straight into your stomach probably helps too.

        For that you need either consume something fatty before drinking (cause a defensive layer which blocks alcohol absorption at some level), or eat something dry (to absorb part of the already consumed alcohol, slowing down the body’s ability to absorb it).

        I’m with Rycr on this–avoid gods of alcohol too. Tepoztecal or Dionysius or Hathor–does it really matter?
