She might have at one point. I mentioned a couple of comics back that it looked like she was working behind a cash register. Maybe this was pauls idea to begin with before he decided to have her start working at a museum. A lot of the story elements would have been the same.
Really odd thing here is that while she does, at this point in the story, work in an antique store, it was just a few comics back that indicated rather strongly that she worked at a museum. I saw that and thought “Ok we just dont see her switch jobs” but then this is here and I don’t know what is happening. Could be she works in an antique store as well as a museum. Can’t say for sure.
We also see her studying a book next to a cash register.
I suspect this means Monica is an archeology student that this time, earning money at the antique store, since there is at least some overlap with the field. She couldn’t have given Amanda the Doll of Shelly if it was a museum piece; she must have assumed it was a modern gewgaw that she could cover the price of.
Later, she works full time at the museum while a grad student. A little blue… bird told me. But we don’t get to see her advancing career with any great exposition.
Technically, you’re right. Since she’s part owner of the antique shop, she doesn’t *work* there, but (wo)mans the register from time to time. She does work in the museum, however. Her expertise in pre-Columbian artifacts may or may not have some bearing on future plot points (snicker).
Nope, hate snow. I might be part Norwegian but snow is a bad thing. Come live in the Sunbelt like me. California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico. If you are desperate Utah.
In Utah they still get snow. Living in a desert is nice for laying by the pool. HA HA HA HA! Ok, so it is 150 in the shade during the summer details.
im sorry paul but M does not work in antique store

Mostly we see her out drinking.
