Then again, there’s THIS classic from ‘The Vapors’ called “Spiders” that always reminds me of Katherine Gilchrist!

When they say “Library Run” are they talking about Phix’s Book Barn, or just an ordinary, run of the mill para Library? (I say that and think of the library at Sunnyvale High, with it’s witches, werewolves, Watchers and Xanders.)

But do Gary Numan and Depeche Mode know this?

So it seems the world has always had tradition of crappy deities who couldn’t match the best of humanity. Nice to know some things never change.

Speaking of ‘crappy deities’, what ever happened to the little blue dude? Haven’t seen him around in years 🙁

Why would girls born around 2000 be particularly familiar with 80s music? | sense some author bias there. 😉

Or they just have better taste than most their age – and I’m definitely showing my age and bias 🙂

“Music from back then” she says.
They weren’t alive “back then” to be nostalgic for it.

Speaking of musical deities, beware of Leannan. No one needs the patronage of the Faerie Queen who was the Gaelic muse of doomed poets. She was believed by the Welsh, Irish and Scots to be the reason why brilliant writers and musicians lived such brief and tragic lives, as Leannan would trade both skill and talent for longevity and good fortune. One wonders if Jimi Hendrix, Janis Jopin, Buddy Holly and the other great musicians of the Rock & Roll era ever made her acquaintance, or if Fleetwood Mac were singing about the wrong figure from Celtic mythology…

That’s about the same level of plausibility as:
“Dennis Rodman’s an alien? Huh. It’s not much of a disguise.”
