Me too. Jin’s new ‘do makes it hard to tell them apart when Jin’s hair is mussed, you have to pick up on her fangs or Shelly’s bulging biceps.
(How can Jin get her hair cut, though, anyway? The GGG are living and indestructable clay dolls, does their hair even grow?)
RE Jin’s mom: I’m uneasy about this. Mayahuel is responsible for an enormous amount of death and destruction (the Claendar Machine, the creation of the ‘gods’, golum technology that led to the Chimera, the time loop).; if, after 80,000+ years of confinement, she’s grown wise enough to consider the consequences of her actions, that’s one thing. If not, letting her out and near anything more dangerous than a cotton ball might just start the death and destruction all over again.
And speaking of the Machine, I’m uneasy about IT, too. Maybe it’s impotent in the Demon realm, maybe it’s not alive and sentient and won’t be angry about all this, maybe the demons lack the ability, knowledge, or interest to use it for their own ends, maybe there’ll never again be a door like Monica they could push it through and back into the Human realm; but that’s a lot of maybes, I wish Bud would have taken a few minutes on the other side to crush it down into a diamond while it was ineffefcctual and end its menace once and for all. Because as it is, it’s a possible danger…
It was as much what she said as the look – that sounds like something Shelly would say.As to hair – i suspect that the GG’s hair may be like Dru’s in Pibgorn – whatever length and style suits them/the situation.
The machine is not in the demon realm anymore. When Bud went in to retrieve Maya she took the opportunity to crush it to a tiny size. Later she tossed it into the Sun to be disintegrated.
He’s an absolute master at texture and ink wash. And the use of such 3-D effects, against which he places the ‘flat’ figures of his characters, is one of the most effective methods of putting vast amounts of background detail in place, while keeping the foreground simple and uncrowded, that I have ever seen.
Well … Monica isn’t flat, but you know what I was trying to say …
Heehee! This should be a fun family reunion! Why do I imagine Jin’s mom is going to be expert at driving her nuts – oh wait, that’s because all parents can do that!
I’m also really looking forward to Jin when she has to introduce Alan to her Mom!
“Hello you man. Were you the one who bought my daughter that Little Bo Beep outfit?”
“MOM!!!!”
Uh… DAD?
As in, “Huh… I wonder who dad was/is?”
LOL Yea, was about to say… you DO know where babies come from right? 😉
Methinks Jin just realized that she’s talking to her mother…
Paul:
Itty bitty edit: “obviously”
It’s nice that Jin is back to not being totally insane. It’s amazing what a good night’s sleep can do for a person.
I’ve often thought that 80% of the world’s problems would just go away if everyone got enough sleep.
yes, but she seemed enjoy so much keep having sex than sleeping
Well, very glad to see that some badly needed sleep has done Jin good.
You could just HEAR her do the double-take in that last panel.
“…eventuaslly the penny fropped, and the mechanism emitted a faint creaking sound.”
Arrrgh.
“eventually” “dropped”…
Glen Hauman says typos are in invisible ink until you his “Send”, and then they’re International Orange Daglo.
“hit”
Quitting while i’m behind.
LOL
You’re at the end of a very long day; I’m at the beginning of mine. Come back in twelve hours and see which one of us is coherent!
grind grind grind CLICK!
Hehehe.. pretty much what I thought
At first glance at Panel One, i thought it was Shelly.
Same thought here. Closer inspection, though, shows the trademark Fangs.

I love the texture on her shirt — It’s one of those waffle weave long john shirts, yes? Comfy and warm for sleep wear.
And I like how Pablo incorporated it so it looks like the real thing.

Love the expression in panel three.
And glad to see that she’s making sense again. ^_^
Also – Prediction for tomorrow:
Panel 1: Jin looking in from a doorway.
Panel 2: Mayhuel looking up and holding some tea.
Panel 3: Super Jin Glomp!
I dunno… I’ve never got the idea that Jin MISSED her mom… that she was even FOND of her mom.
That has to be the best drawing of that expression i have ever seen.
*BLINK* love that last panel, you can see things falling into place in her head…
The final two panels of this strip are just about my absolute favourite comics double-take ever…
That last panel needs a BOOOOOOING the size of a 12 ton church bell.
Welcome back Jin, we missed you.
I smell dream sequence.
The last panel is great! A giant Buddha wall hanging in the background as Jin is enlightened.
I was thinking the same thing! 🙂
HEY! nice catch.

“MOM!!!!”
Kalunk, awareness strikes!
Has mom finally returned from her walkabout?
And we have a time slip of six and a-half years…
