To all of you making comments about Hiroshi and Shawna. Don’t forget, they never actually became anything official. The last we ever heard about what was between them was Shawna having doubts and Scarlet telling her to figure out what she really wants before doing anything. So technically Shawna and Hiroshi were never on a single date as far as we know.
Don’t worry, first we’re going to get fifteen strips of awkward drama, then it’s going to be forgotten for a few months, and then they’re finally getting together after someone else bangs their heads together.
By now I’d be more surprised if people in this comic ever DID just acknowledge their attraction to each other.
Maybe this will be that first time (they already kinda know, at least to themselves, which is several steps ahead of most of the adults in the past 😛 )
I mean, I hope so. It’s not like I don’t like this paring, thinking of it. There’s definatively something in the other that they both need, it’s just that I hope we’re not getting another load of drama. Let one of the two be the wiser this time, instead of both of them circling around each other like moths around a flame.
But many of the characters in this comic are not really human, are they?…Technically, they are supernatural/paranormal creatures, not base-line humans.
And called it. last panel this comic is just what I said was happening last comic. Now both need to stew and think and do a little soul searching. Then start finding their gender. which is different from their sex. you are born a sex. you find your gender. or rather your gender is what it is you need to figure it out. hopefully for both find their gender to match in a way they can find each other. BUT life is never simple so I see some hi-jinx and drama in the future for both.
Although. if they do become a couple. , Shawna’s kindness, caring and wisdom would be just what Castela need to buffer her raw power and temper. Make her slow down and not internalize everything. Castela would be the person Shawna needs to help he be more confident and believe in herself more. not doubt everything she thinks or does. They be perfect yin and yang.
Ok I’m gonna say it. I love queer representation and convoluted love stories but this is like the third last moment relationship switcheroo getting two women together I’ve seen in this comic. Like… seriously the bait and switch shipping is getting exhausting!
