Spider mouths are quite different from mammalian ones. BTW, no, they don’t drink through their fangs. They’ve still got a mandible and two maxillae, but the maxillae are positioned weird compared to other animals (even none chelicerate arthropods), and they’ve got chelicerae.

She may be a fae of the Summer court, but Callista is still a fae.

What are those bugs? Giant grasshoppers or giant ants? Where did she get them?

Thems Fairy World crickets. Why else would they sit so calmly in their hands?

What those bugs are is extremely lucky Digit can’t figure out how to eat them this particular moment. However, the likelihood they’ll be used as guinea pigs in a “let’s figure out if Digit still eats bugs” session is high.

Sorry I just saw that I miss the page that said what the bugs are.

Ahhhh. How far along the little grasshopper Cricket has come along. From cowering in terror of the Jaguar Girl to sassing her with a wicked smile. 😀

The benefits of a good education! It’s clear that her schoolwork included a study of Lewis Carroll, and she took it to heart.

She went hunting, and she found her Snark.

Na, she gets much better milage. And she’s more all terrain than a racer.

      Unless you’re allergic, that is.

A local store has crunchies made with cricket flour. I think they’re quite tasty. So does my wife… but she started itching after eating some. Apparently her allergy to crab is enough to make her cross-react to insects… 😔
