I will politely disagree. This comic, and this ‘generation’ of characters in particular, has seldom shown any hint of carnality. The last, closest thing to a sexy moment I can remember was Catherine sharing a shower, and however that wine-and-hot-tub date with the bikini model devil ended (though that may have been all in my head.) Even the succubus, even after having attained the age of majority, shows no sign of bedroom familiarity. My money is on falling asleep on the couch and second base utterly untagged.
Slice-of-life cute romantic is exactly what she’s doing. Not what she’s watching, but what she’s doing. She wasn’t suggesting ‘lets be the porn instead of watching some,’ she was suggesting ‘lets be the slice-of-life cute romantic story instead of watching some.’ I s’pose they might work their way up to an R rating with time to develop and some decisions by both of the people involved, but I don’t think that’s what she was talking about either.
I don’t think Pickle’s gonna trust herself to get very physical, with anybody, until anybody’s had a chance to watch her toss around a few plasma bolts and, uh, first accept some risk about what could result if Pickle gets overwrought, and second understands that if she needs to take it slow and stay in control, she needs to take it slow and stay in control for good reasons. So there’s probably no risk of anything rising to an R rating on this session.
How did I miss Kath in the shower? There was Shelly’s shower fantasy (Justin was asleep on the couch), and Monica has an off-screen shower with *cough* soundtrack.

STRONGLY RECOMMEND “My Love Story” aka “Ore Monogatari”, Takeo and Yamato are a couple that you can’t help but fall for, especially after Takeo gets the clue stick by episode 3. It’s one of those anime that you watch in order to feel good about the world again.
“Say I love you” is a much better choice and has better animation/graphics. Wagnaria (1-3) are much better for slice of life that doesn’t involve sexy times

If you liked either Ore Monogatari or “Say I Love You”, you might also enjoy Kimi ni todoke (From Me to You). Or for something a bit sillier about a guy chasing after a girl who can’t admit to herself how much she likes him, “Maid-Sama”.
That may just be a peck on the cheek, and then they go back to watching the show. Maybe just a little reminder to Pickle that she ought to relax and get used to stuff like this. Maybe reciprocate a bit, if it feels right. She’ll get the hang of it.
The people who designed Cass to be a weapon left a serious flaw in her design. She can be incapacitated for several seconds by light romance. “Quick! While she’s with Shawna – attack!”

Pickle had already said that if someone was assaulting a friend of hers, there wouldn’t be enough of the attacker’s body left to even perform a DNA analysis.
If somebody attacked her girlfriend/lover I suspect there might not be enough left of the city to justify an archaeological expedition.
I’ve always seen it referred to as Ore Monogatari!!, rather than by its English name, but it’s definitely one of the better, lighter rom-com anime. Add that to Anohana and Another, and Castela (and Paul) are confirmed as proper anime geeks. ‘course, I think one mostly needs to watch Another just so they can fully appreciate the pie memes related to it. 😛
a 12 episode season is about 5 straight hours, assuming you’re skipping most of the intro/outros. The idea that they’re going to put 4 of them in front of their eyeballs in a single day (nevermind breaks for meals and such) is bad math.
