The next page Conscience will drop some bomb that has Bia and Shelly join forces in an attempt to catch her. And during the hunt they will bond just a bit more…
Bia is being ‘punished’ by her Father by having to go through the next little bit while seeing the world through the perspective of a child. She didn’t go back in time, rather she’s reverted; so she retains her memories, but she’s not filtered by the souring of adulthood’s experience.
Ah, Conscience is doing he job properly I see.
Though it might be a bit more commendable if she had not created the need for her services in the first place. 😛
Bia is obviously crying (possibly even sobbing) in the 2nd panel.
3rd panel; it’s not really clear if she has tears on her cheeks, or in her eyes (or both).
Mission accomplished.
Teh feels…
Oh, and Connie… =°)
Yeah, between yesterday’s pigtails and popcorn and the cub reporter, she’s a lot more fun now she’s off the creepy kick.
The next strip will, hopefully, have a tearful hug.

When you think about it, Connie’s just doing her job. But please, ditch the Fedora. That 1940s reporter look just doesn’t suit you, dear.
She could stretch it a bit, replace the “Press” ID with a 10/6, and she’d be ready to do a Mad Hatter impression. I’ll bet she’d do Mad quite well.
But what about the pipe?
Yeah for a 30s/40s reporter cosplay, that pipe is a bit of a red herring….
It’s 2020 as I reply but I’m thinking Connie O’Leary is spot on…
I love the 1940’s reporter look.
She’ll have to speak in a Walter Winchell voice…
That’s how i’ve decided to read the “typewriter” font in panel 2, now.
+1 and ‘Me too’s for this entire stack.

A talking cricket she is not. No grillo parlente here.
Conscience, you beat the mortal hell out of this selfsame innocent child. How does that make you feel?
She’s the same age. The age Shelly was when she went on her vision quest and died.
After Bia pulled her little joke and messed up Shelly’s life.
Jeeze, Shelly, it’s been eighty thousand years. Let it go, already.
It’s been only a year or so since she found out.
Four or five according to my estimate. Remember the time skip.
In my honest opinion, Shelly has nothing to be sorry for. Bia’s deserved far worse than getting screamed at for a long time, child body or not.
yeah, I don’t grok the “eyes of a child” notion either.
