Oh that? That’s Catch-22. The only way of getting grounded from combat duty would be to be found unfit, because you would have to be insane to fly more missions. Therefore, if you request to be evaluated, you are not insane, fit for duty, and have to fly more missions.
I’ve heard it said that realizing your own insanity disqualifies it. I imagine it works the same way with embracing it.
