Katherine became fascinated with spiders >because< of her phobia. Shelly became a one-woman wrecking crew when she sees a spider. Jette has separate, non-spider related phobias.
If Digit is now near Dietzel’s original size *(or larger), the cube-square law would apply with a vengeance! A spider that size would collapse under its own weight, and suffocate! Maybe Callista could reverse the enchantment?
Actually, this would be more mathematics than physics. However, it was forty years ago this year that I graduated with dual bachelor degrees in physics and math, so I’m covered either way. The niftiest way to save Digit would be to have the poor spider bitten by a radioactive human, thus gaining the power to rationalize away anything! Actually more useful, being bitten by a radioactive Ursamorph, and being able to change shape (and size). And thanks to Carbon-fourteen, Potassium-forty, and living in a post-nuclear world since the 1940’s, every living thing on earth is radioactive! And I’m sure that if Aunt Monica were to ask Atsali and Nadette nicely, something could be arranged.
Callista said that DIETZEL would return to his NORMAL size, she couldn’t predict how it would affect athers. Digit’s normal size was presumably, itty-bitty.
But returning Dietzel to his “normal” size might both mean several things as well as being done in at least two ways.
I think it’s safe to assume that what Calista meant was that Dietzel would be returned to the same size he was before she shrank him. Thats the what. The how is still up in the air.
As far as I can remember Calista wasn’t able to just undo the spell, which may mean that it wasn’t an enchantment but a permanent transformation. If that’s the case then the spell on the collar was probably another transformation, this time intended to permanently enlarge Dietzel to a size as close to the same size as he was before being shrunk. If that’s the case then Monica is now looking at a dog size Digit.
On the other hand, if the original spell was an enchantment, and Calista now has been able to create a way to break that enchantment, then Digit shouldn’t be affected at all. However Calistas reaction to Monica joking about putting the tiny collar on her thumb tells us that it’s not a simple disspell or something intended to break a specific enchantment.
My personal guess is that Monica will have to get a new giant spider bed…
Stupid well behaved towel !
THAT’S NOT HOW THE TROPE WORKS !!!!!
If YOU were he towel 9f Monica would YOU let go before you had to?’:p
*of
She catches fire too easy, so no.
This comic is PG 13 AFAIK, thats why the towel stays… :/
I’m just happy the towel hugs without flattening…
Dun dun Duuuunnnnnnnn!
Walking Digit will be a trip.
Having Shelly, Amanda, and/or Jacqui will be impossible.
Katherine might have developed a better attitude about spiders.
Assuming Digit enlarged.
Katherine never had a problem with spiders, it was Monica’s girlfriend Jette who has the phobia

Timmy in the well! Bwah-hahahahahaha!!! Great Lassie reference.
knowing Monica she’ll either run away or hug digit and call her a cutie.

We are dealing with magic and superpowers, physics is more of a list of helpful suggestions, not rules.

If the magic can compress Dietzel with no ill effects, it’s not to big a stretch to imagine it can enlarge Digit with no problems.
If the rules of the Wapsiverse work in any way similar to the rules of the Potterverse, gigantic spiders are completely possible.
Just remember, her breasts have their own gravitational field, which explains why the towel didn’t fall.
I think the poor spider just needs more oxygen, and less gravity. Can’t wait to see a dog-sized jumping spider!
I could wait an entire lifetime happy not to see the next frame.
Well, drop the towel and let us see how well you can run.
Awww, isn’t Dietzel just the most precious thing? *SQUEEEEE*
I hope for a little Drider ^^
I bet Digit is now a sexy spider lady.
Stupid towel…
Callista said that DIETZEL would return to his NORMAL size, she couldn’t predict how it would affect athers. Digit’s normal size was presumably, itty-bitty.
Exactly. But judging by Deitzel’s and Monica’s reactions, Digit is now SOMEthing other than a normal, tiny-sized jumping spider.
I’m guessing either a dog-sized spider, or some sort of spiderlike beast.
Wouldn’t it be a trip if it somehow gave her human or above level intelligence?
She already had human or above intelligence
But returning Dietzel to his “normal” size might both mean several things as well as being done in at least two ways.

Became human. I’d put a benjamin on it.
are you psychic? ~<3
Well, Paul posted this page early for Patreon subscribers – so I kept mum about it…
(And by this page I of course meant the next page…)
