Sound is the result of something vibrating. It doesn’t require moving air, Cass could easily talk by rubbing branches together from any part of her body. I’m not saying this is how she does it (it is Paul’s universe, not mine) but offering up one possibility. The several paras likely use different ways to produce sound from humans
Following up on Mark N’s report; Atsali and Nadette were having TV time and Castela and (Dylla?) spooked them with a surprise prank attack. The four of them ended up in the ER w/ CONCERNED parents, but they themselves, despite having suffered injuries all around (inc Castela holding her own head in her lap while commenting)- they themselves seemed to be having the times of their lives. in retrospect.
… I’m a little jealous that she can do that. I can’t even begin to list the amount of times being able to do something like that would have been useful.
daf*q??? Pickle can take her head out????
also… am I first???????
Remember, she freaked out aunt Bud at the island by running with scissors and falling onto them. Impaling herself at full speed the giggling about it.
Her being near-indestructable is no surprise, but yea, the detachment is a new one to me too ^^
Not a new thing:

Remember the sleepover ER incident? She had her head in her lap.
I had forgotten that!! XD
Hmm.. maybe this will keep the pedo photoshoppers away from her.
But how does she produce sound if her mouth is here, but her airways down over there?

Heads up!
I now have images in my head of her popping off an arm to use it to club some idiot….
“Pickle! Please, we’re unarmed!”
Hot dogs, ding-a-lings, and fudgepickles. Yes, it’s going to be an interesting epic.
She had her head off in the ER when they set off The attack siren.

And Wyvern’s comment on that one “I’m hearing Daylla voiced by Andrea Libman.” is now even more appropriate with her work on Monster Busters Club!
That oughta take care of that ugly growth at the top of her neck.
Flashback to Labyrinth that doesn’t involve David Bowie in tights.
Life in the para universe is anything but dull.
Now that’s losing your head. . .
If Castela ever studies Zen, she should find it (relatively) easy to achieve detachment.
Why do they say “Oh my dog?” What belief-system do they practice?
All Praise Dietzel!
😅😂👍😆

I foresee Castella accidentally starting a few haunted building rumors of her own…
Who knew Castle was actually a Dullahan?
