Yes, but how good does a bike have to sound?

BAH! I got my bike, helmet and gear for under $550 GB; that bike must’ve belonged to Lance Armstrong or something…

For that much money the bike better come with Lance Armstrong.

I buy my bikes for commuting. Aluminum rims are a priority, but good looks and light weight really are not. And I have never spent even $350 USD.

the price of a bike depends on where you go

you can get bikes which start at £200 someplaces. Other stores the cheepest bike starts at £800

Heh, my bike cost $1300 and that was $200 off the normal price. It sounds rediculous untill you see real pro equipment that costs $5K,$8K, $10K… $100 for shorts also seems excessive but they make a world of difference on a several hour long, cross city ride.

Try buying a BMW or Mercedes Benz bike… yes, they do bikes, too…

…they do, but mostly of the motor variety.
And when they try for an actual bicycle… well, let’s just say, it ain’t always pretty
