Well at least this answers what Brandi was feeling. It was not that Jin had something she could not have, it was fear that one of her oldest friends cannot only live to a ripe old age and die, but that she is no longer immune to things like cars accidents and H-Bombs. To her it must be a paradigm shift. But it also looks like she and Monica are on the same page about Jin being able to die though; They are both looking at it as a terminal illness.
Life is the ultimate terminal illness, the greatest blessing and the greatest curse there is. I can only imagine the uncertainty they all feel in this! But at least so far, they seem just to be uncertain and off-balance, not preemptively mourning

I mean, Bud could have told her she had spoken to Mon. One would think Bud would have given Brandi the entire story by now.
Now that the slalom of multiple Brandis tricking Brandi 57 is coming to its end, has enough consideration been taken as how Brandi 57 will go forward from here?

Thought of something: Maybe Brandy is very afraid of vulnerability, and would have tried to hide the Vimana-Cells.
She has always the one that wasn’t too angsty about her golemness. Probably because the helplessness in the pit had traumatized her so deeply.
Being an invulnerable golem has it’s perks, but when one of your golem-friends suddenly becomes vulnerable..well..suffice to say some shock , anger and fear would be understandable.
Brandi has always been the mother of the GG’s so this was always going to be the reaction that I was expecting. I expected the other day when Bud told her about it but then Paul threw in that plot reveal about the Vimana cells.
…and I wish I had someone that would give gusty mom hugs when I need them.
The girls’ shock at the idea of mortality reminds me of my favourite line in Bujold’s books. The hero of “Curse of Chalion” gets hit by a nasy enchantment and tells the wise old man “This means I might die tomorrow!” And the wise old man says “And this changes your situation how, exactly?”
and now for the second best therapy for most women i know: Clothes Shopping!… um, then again, that maybe third best, as some ARE better off with chocolate as their 2nd.
Cue breakdown scene, segway into Custard trip, final transition to night time pontification of human life and the internal turmoil the GG’s are feeling over all this, filler strip of Dietzel and Pizza Girl.

When the girls were separated the Chimera ceased to exist, The girls are now fully autonomous beings, They just like to be around each other like sisters,(fights and all).
This has been brought up. The short answer is that we don’t know yet. It may be that the three parts are running independently and there’s no problem. (We don’t even know if they could recombine into the chimera form if they wanted to.) On the other hand, they were three souls in one golem; none of them have ever died before, after the first time.
Well, that rather demonstrates how human Brandi still is, down inside her immortal-clay-golum interior. Incredibly powerful, millennia old… and she still needs a warm hug from time to time, and can benefit from the comfort of a friend who’s not much more than a small fraction of one percent of her own age.
Monica knows this is what she needs. It’s what SHE needed when she found out. Problem is she can’t poit over to Mom’s place and get that understanding. She went to an old friend, in a bar, just like Shelly called on an old friend when suddenly confronted by her newfound immortality.
It’s the quickest most heartfelt way of simply saying, “It’s okay. I understand.”
She doesn’t look all too comforted with the mom/mon hug. Next she’ll poit over to Phix and ask the same question. Phix is, however, more pragmatic. She will simply pick up Nudge by the ankles and wack Brandi upside the head with her. She will then say something like “Jin got her fondest wish and is very happy now. Get over it!” Nudge will go on her way without comment, being so used to such treatment.
