She got her vacuum tubes! I think she is having a poiting snow fight with someone. I mean, that burst of snow came in on a trajectory from somewhere. Next time maybe she’ll fasten the chinstrap on her helmet. Perhaps it’s Nudge in payback for the 13,000 feet caper she pulled.

The advice as to whether to fasten or not fasten the chin strap on the helmet has changed back and forth; as i recall, when i was in Viet Nam, the advice was to not fasten it, because (A) a glancing hit on the helmet that failed to penetrate could wrench your neck, and (B) with the strap fastened and holding the helmet more nearly motionless, hits that otherwise might glance off might penetrate…

I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure being hit by snow clumps was not in the training for SE Asian combat zones. Thatnotwithstanding, I would go with buckled in this instance, given the magnitude and nature of the ordinance and the angle of the strike. All in all, however, I would have gone with a football helmet instead. She must be one of the few with an old style military helmet lying about. Perhaps from G’Pa. I guess ya go with whatcha got.

“After that, the weather starts warming up again, and we get a little crazy, since we just survived another midwinter. We’re ready for water, mud, and even colors other than black and white (even cars and houses get dingy because of road salt and too much snow). So as it warms up, we ditch the gear as fast as possible. Around 27 degrees the hats and gloves become optional. ”

Coordinates 45-17-250, 72-21-310. Range 300m. Fire for effect.
–Wouldn’t that be more 37-24-30? Anyway,

At first I thought is was smoke, like the package exploded? On the California coast we are not as familiar with snow. Sound could make it a little easier to recognize for those not as haunted by this strange substance.

No Monica. Savor your victory when you’re inside. Took her eye off the ball and got hit by the bat, to mangle a metaphor.

Paul, Panel 4 is unbearably sexy, with Monica’s breast lightly touching the mailbox lid and the corner of bra showing out of the tanktop. Good job.

A good hormone rush is worth at least three cups of coffee, which is especially nice for me because I don’t drink coffee.

No, no–that’s the OTHER twin cities.

And I’ve got the Fraternal Twin cities a little north of me. (Neenah/Menasha, yay.)

For those who might be interested, ComicMix is conducting a “March Madness” poll for webcomics.

At the moment, both Girl Genius and Pibgorn are behind.

You can see the bracket and the voting (and vote, hint hint) at ComicMix…

(I’m not sure when voting ends, but i just cast a couple of ballots…)

Hah! Yeah, something similar happened here in Winnipeg on Friday afternoon. After 2-3 days of lovely mild weather, we get a blizzard. A highway-closing, sidewalk-erasing blizzard. A meteorological kick to our collective crotch.
