In other comments previously, it’s been mentioned that Paul has put Digit’s age at early-20-something. I believe it’s meant to be an equivalent … that Digit’s approximate age as a spider has translated into her approximate age as a human. Her placement in Gryphon High is geared mainly toward developing her socialization skills rather than an academic need.
Pretty obviously, her age as a spider had already been extended somehow (probably “Library Magic”) since, as a spider, she was 4-5 years old (jumping spiders typically live less than one year, but sometimes up to two).
With all the people Digit is meeting & interacting with …. I’m continuing to look forward to her first encounter with Katherine.
Does this mean she still retains some of her spider abilities, like walking on walls and ceilings? I was hoping so, but hadn’t seen anything definitive. (Unless I missed it)
Given the fact that Digit has been able to manifest several forms, I think that it’s only a matter of time & practice before she can assume even more forms that are various hybrids. As she experiments with those, she will determine the limitations between spider capabilities and the mass of her current form. What’s interesting to note is that she actually changes form .. it’s not just a fae glamour.
THEN Monica (& others) are going to be subject to some even more interesting pranks.
Her spider heritage is the equivalent of several hypos full of Botox, injected right into the smile muscles. A “straight face” is all she has available right now.
She may learn to make human-style facial expressions someday, but it hasn’t happened yet.
Monica’s easy that way, but it was a good one! 😄
They’re gonna do fine.
*slow clap*
Well played, Digit.
…wait, holy crap, she’s twentysomething? That’s old for a spider.
I think living in The Library worked some life-extending magic on Digit.
That said, I don’t think she’s ht her twenties yet.

“You have beautiful eyes, Dr. Gilchrist.”
Is she that old?
i thought it was obvious that she is in her single-Digits.
I think Digit’s referring to the age that Monica’s stuck at, calling M the twentysomething.
“i thought it was obvious that she is in her single-Digits.”
That was Dietzel, yesterday.

I think it means she’s learning to prank Monica . . .

Good one Digit, You’ll do just fine with this group.
I laughed until I turned blue.
I wonder how good she’d be at poker?
Dangerous. What other players can expect to be able to recognize a jumping spider’s tell?
Does Dietzel play cards? He can probably read her.
How can she say that with a straight face?

At this time, Digit apparently requires conscious effort to have an expression.
Starting to read this when you’re 13, priceless.

Hatched sassy. Spiders hatch from eggs.
Has Monica had a breast reduction? She doesn’t look as busty as before.
Probably not, since she hates to have anything to do with hospitals, and surgery would just trigger a reboot.
This page throws me a bit. I keep thinking “Wow, Digit’s really tall” then I remember that no, Monica’s just that short.
Any Marvel fan can tell you that jumping spiders are known for their sense of humor.
