      I think both are about equal but the other concern of freezing to death and not being able to call for help outweighs the normal pub dangers IMHO

    If you clearly lost and alone, it’s super dangerous. If you walk in a pub with full confidence, and mix in without standing out like a sore thumb, then you can be their “new friend” and no one should try to do anything funny… Because from that point, you are one of them.
