When did Hiroshi buy a clue? And why were we not told of this?! Also I think he is being sincere. Which means he has a crush on her also. But good god if they marry any kids they have will be deadly beautiful to look at. That much pretty in one place will make brains melt.
I don’t know, when very attractive people produce kids they are as likely to be plain looking as attractive. Depending in part on how much alike they are.
So right now I’m shipping these two so hard but I’m kind of puzzled because even though it wasn’t explicitly stated I thought Mindy was dating Barbara.
You know, I’ve met a few people in the last decade who, somewhat older than me (I’m 42 now; they’d have been born in the late 60s, early 70s, I think) routinely use the word “goof” as though it were the most vulgar and offensive insult in their vocabulary.
To me… the word only invokes an image of a clumsy dog-man from old Disney cartoons. Perhaps not a compliment, but hardly what I would have thought of as a particularly harsh insult.
Very confusing… Though I’m pretty sure Hiroshi here (and therefor Paul, our writer) thinks of the word mostly like I do; not as something hurtful.
I’m one of those you mentioned, demographic wise and while I could see using it like this, ” Dude is a GOOFY ass’d mf…”, usually I’d think it synonymous with Adorkable.
No, they were using it like, “Why don’t you just die, you fucking GOOF!” As if they considered “goof” was the worst word in that sentence.
Like I said, very strange to my ear.
That’s probably as clear a signal as these two can manage.
COME-YOU-KNEE-KAY-SHUN!
“Honestly, Kay. I only kneed you in the chin because Birion told me to!”
Communication is not a teenage behavior.
Go Hiroshi! You’re on a roll.
Really?
He threw that hook out there without even realizing it, and she hit it like a hungry swordfish. I hope he’s alert enough not to screw it up…

she should kiss him right after he says yes.
Hiroshi isn’t (by his own words) very bright… but from what we’ve seen in the past, he’s really quite straightforward and honest. He lacks guile.
What he says here, is a lot like what he said when he told Mindy why he trusted her. “You’re my friend. You have no reason to lie.”
He simply said what he thought and felt. No ups, no extras, no games.
That sort of blunt directness may be the perfect remedy for Mindy’s overthinking.
They’ll be beautiful, alright – question is how much brains there’ll be to melt
It won’t be their brains that will melt…

Hiroshi, that was just… wow. Nicely done.
Diplomatic much? For being shy as hell, Hiroshi knows EXACTLY what to say to a gal!
Not any gal. This gal.
These two are speedrunning this relationship building aren’t they. Just needed a catalyst.
Boys do signals now? That’s a new one.

🙄
You break her you bought her….
I said this before, he is the one person that her glamour is not affecting his feelings. He is so honest that her paranormal gift will not sway.
“Goofy”… hmm…
