Dan and Mab’s Furry Adventure. Immortal character is asked why he has a bodyguard if he can’t be killed. “Just because I can’t be killed doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt trying!”
Other than Indonesian-German dictionaries, I found no relation between Glockenspiel and Bunga. I’ve got brain bleach to spare, now give me something to scrub, ok?
The cowabunga-Gesundheit reminds me to a movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger. I think he was playing with a Boy and changing between parallel Universes.
Somebody recognized him as “Schwarzenegger!” in “real life” and he as the hero from the parallel universe answered “Gesundheit”. At least in the german synchronized Version. I bet in the english Version he said “bless you”.
Aww, She’s a brick…..house
Yeah, she’s mighty, mighty, just a-lettin’ it all hang out
She’s a brick house
That lady’s stacked, and that’s a fact
Ain’t holding nothing back
I hear this tune (Brickhouse 2003 – Rob Zombie & Lionel Ritchie) when looking at the comic
X°D But I thought she was built like a the proverbial euphemism….
Presumably Atsali still feels pain, though. I can’t imagine a broken bone being anyone’s idea of a good time.
Looks as if she’s already had a few minor mishaps.
One tends to wonder if it’s the injuries or the potential wardrobe issues Nadette is worried about.
Worried about or hopeful for?
X-D I’d go with that thought !
What is that from, Wolverine? The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?
Where the character is indestructible but still feels pain?
@Jayessel: The first couple that come to mind are Wolverine and Deadpool.
Just about every immortal character ever…
Deadpool, without the cussing 😛

she’ll make some expensive dents in the concrete.
Cowa-WHAT???
Glockenspiel, of course. You know, the instrument made up of bells of different sizes? The Abhorsen form the Old Kingdom Series uses it?
Actually Abhorsen uses seven bells, not a glockenspiel.
Which, incidentally, translates roughly to “clock play.” Glock meaning clock, and spiele meaning play.
A Glocke is a bell. As in Big Ben in London.
And “Gesundheit” is used in the same way as “bless you”. As in “Schwarzenegger” – “bless you”.
Actually, at least one form of glockenspiel {also known as a “bell lyre”} is basically a small vertical xylophone-like thing played in marching bands.
An instrument of bells? God bless?
Atsali needs to learn the skaters lingo… May I suggest Skate 3 as a video game?
How is skate-boarding fun to someone who can fly?
Just like riding a bicycle fast is fun to a pilot.
The perceptions of speed and risk are different.
Being able to grow wings in an instant has to significantly reduce the risk.
Not to mention add some sweet tricks, BarerMender.
Sky boarding!
If she,s wearing her talisman, she can’t grow wings.
If she’s wearing her talisman, she can’t grow wings.
Doesn’t the school have a flight team?
Yeah, but Atsali could out-fly them all. (I don’t know this, but I want Atsali to be the baddest.)
She’s got great cushions.
Monica says boobs are not airbags.
So do Katherine and Atsali.
Actually she has that bikini chain mail armour 2.0.
Not chain-mail; SCALE-mail 🙄
Here’s a question for you: Where is Atsali from? When we met her, she gave her name in Greek, but we never found out anything else.
Don’t believe that was explained, and we have only seen a few snippets of her early life in the orphanage
Well, sirens are from Greek mythology.
Mainly.
I checked out “Bunga” on the internet as a possible substitution for glockenspiel. What I got was a lesson in Rule 34. Where is that brain bleach.
Other than Indonesian-German dictionaries, I found no relation between Glockenspiel and Bunga. I’ve got brain bleach to spare, now give me something to scrub, ok?
I don’t think “bunga” means anything. The word “cowabunga” was made up for a children’s TV show back in the ‘fifties.
The 50’s? Thought it originated in the surfing culture, then got used in a cartoon series in the 80’s

Michael, could that have been Last Action Hero?
“Howdy Doody” – it was Chief Thunderthud’s all-purpose expletive/exclamation.

LOL, Atsali vs. Tank … this had to happen now! 😀
