I can’t quite read Cass’s expression in the second panel. She looks slightly uncomfortable. If it’s “oh, I was dense, wasn’t I?” I could understand, but Shawna is still talking and Cass seems to be focusing elsewhere. Any thoughts?
I think you have panel one nailed, panel two is Cas starting to process/catch up, panel three is that experience that would have TILT indicators in her eyes in most cartoons. You know, that feeling that the floor just dropped away and you aren’t sure yet weather you are flying or falling?
It pains me to admit it, but Castela is as clueless as Atsali. Can we be sure they don’t share any genetic material?

I too note the lack of blooming that happened when she encountered Hiroshi. Now what might this imply about the two relationships?
Then again it could be due to Shawna being a girl. And not a pollinating butterfly
