Last time I was up-to-date on this comic, Shelly was dying an incredibly painful death after being manipulated into holding a fatal amount of radiation, Jin’s brain had one foot out the door, the world was possibly trying for another apocalypse, everyone was uncertain, and no one was happy. Now Katherine’s younger kid is making her eldest feel better about going to college, Monica is running an antique shop with her girlfriend, Bud has her guy, and just about everyone is pretty much happy.
Welcome back! It sounds as if you stopped reading regularly, almost exactly the same day I first learned of Wapsi Square.
It’s been one hell of an amazing ride in the years since then… and the story of Kath breaking through her shell and taking back her life and adopting these two rather unusual orphans has been one very satisfying part of all of that!
Like with any sin (or anything, really), it’s taking it too far that’s the problem. A certain amount of lust is necessary for the propagation of the species, for example. Wrath can lead to fixing social ills, as long as you don’t just go full vigilantee. Thanksgiving is a time when it’s fine to be a glutton, and it causes no harm as long as you don’t eat like that all year around, etc, etc
(If I wasn’t particularly clear, I agree with your assessment)
You are a good stinkweed.
I want an upvote button!
So far she is using her manipulation skills for good.
Castela is wise beyond her years. She knew just which buttons to push and so on.

Brilliant….Fucking. Brilliant.
Was Pickle primed?
Phix, you really made Castela into a great little sister.
Ok, yeah, Katherine had something to do with it too. I was just referring to the last storyline.
You’re a good kid, goober.

This was a really nice thing to come back to.

The difference between sad lonely Kath and happy momma Kath is incredible.
Don’t forget “Proud”, any one who feels ‘pride’ is a sin, is a dick (and that includes self-pride)

So… where is Nadette going to college?
Nadette is rich. She can go anywhere that will accept her.
So, what’s stopping her from going to Dragon Wall College? o_O
Oh right, not accepted
Due to overcost restrictions, I never got the opportunity to enjoy ‘campus life’ at a college or University; she doesn’t know how lucky she is…
Wise and kind beyond her (apparent) years. She always knows the right thing to say.
You know Katherine is proud when she stands at a 45 degree angle.
