Yup. Yellow is a real color (a specific range of photon wavelengths). LEDs, lasers, and filters can be used to generate a very pure yellow which a spectrograph (or a simple prism) can easily distinguish from a mix of red and green. Some paint pigments come close to a true monochromatic yellow.
It’s just a quirk of the human visual system that our perception of “yellow” can be triggered effectively by a mix of red and green. This led to a deliberate choice to transmit video color information as a red-green-blue tuple and not carry a discrete “yellow” signal – the results are convincing enough to fool human eyes and we save money that way.
To a species with better color vision (and there are many), or to a spectrograph, our color photographs and TVs would look anemic, showing only a small fraction of the colors actually present in nature… a lemon would look yellow, the TV image of it would look like a distorted clown caricature. This is probably why birds and butterflies aren’t big TV fans, and why our space-alien neighbors and been ignoring our TV-signal broadcasts… eyestrain.

Conversely, when you print in color on paper, you use the Subtractive primary colors (which perhaps used to be called “secondary” colors, back decades ago IIRC), and those are Yellow, Cyan, and Magenta (usually along with Black) – together they can produce a print that contains all the colors of the rainbow, which you see due to light being reflected off of them and certain frequencies being filtered out.

take a good magnifier to you PC or TV screen, and see if you can find any **single** yellow dot.. you will only find red, green, blue…

But ‘normal’ cameras cannot see that much… find a rainbow in the sky, and take a picture.. now quickly look at the picture, and the real thing, you may see a slight difference!!!! 🙂

Somebody alluded to another possibility, a few days ago… that this might have possibly been deliberate.
The original Grid Anchor system was installed by the Ethetians, directed by Brandi… who was possessed by the Nu Gui spirit at the time. The grid activation caused world-wide seismic chaos and ecological disruption which forced all of the Ethetians to flee into stasis… which the Nu Gui had sabotaged, trapping them in a nonmaterial state in which they all went insane. Quite a revenge – the torture and genocide of an entire civilization, to “pay back” for the death of the innocent infant whose death created the Nu Gui.
It seems possible that this cross-dimensional “trapping” effect has always been present in the Grid Anchor system. It might not just be an artifact of the MIBs’ new, modern, highly-redundant anchor generators.
Possibly the Nu Gui knew about it, and simply didn’t care that innocent beings from other world-lines were “side-catch” for its carefully-planned trap for the Ethetians. Possibly it was malicious enough to enjoy this side-effect… it definitely seemed to get off on torture, especially the subtle long-drawn-out variety. The trapping effect is just a bit too much like the “trapped in stasis” trick which caught the Ethetians, for me to rule out a connection right away.
It does sound as if MIB didn’t adequately research what they had inherited and upgraded.
