Leaping quickly, the hunter paralyzes her victims with a single strike. Thus the apex predator is revealed, its protective mimicry can no longer conceal the wicked barbs hidden within.
I just realized the last panel is exactly the same line art as the first panel, just with no shading and the expressions redrawn. Makes it look like they’re all frozen in fear.
Gotta love that Digit. It’s a chaparone’s job to so totally terrify her charges so that none of them would even _think_ of sneaking off into the darkness.
I don’t know if I should be ‘a’mused or ‘be’mused that a group of super-powered supernatural entities (including a girl who can literally melt granite) would be afraid of ghosts. Teens will be teens.
For teens, social groups and relationships are incredibly important. Maintaining them is essential. Losing them is painful and humiliating. Being super-powered doesn’t change that.
So, of course, these teens are terrified of being ghosted.
Work that natural deadpan face, Didj.
Um, is Bud wigging out?
Only in an effort to prevent the destructo-kids from wigging out and blowing up the entire region
Agreed
I think they’re all about to wig out.

I read this in David Attenborough’s voice.
for me it was Steve Irwin…
Nah, definitely Attenborough. Steve would have peppered in an “isn’t she a BEAUTY!” and at least two “crikeys.”
They’re *ghost* stories, kids. They’re *supposed* to wig you out!
Digit serves up a ghost story, the way a fine French chef serves up a tasting plate.
Simple ingredients, in the proper proportion. Carefully prepared. Tastefully arranged and delivered, in small portions. Big impact.
Playing ‘Khan’s pets’ from the Star Trek II soundtrack album while telling ghost stories can really (and I mean REALLY) weird you out!!!
Scared Castela is just so cute.
Doesn’t take much to wig them out, does it?
Doesn’t say much for their wigmaker’s workmanship.
My goodness, this story has been tantalizing me continuously for months!
Our esteemed host is very good at his job. 🙂

If the next strip has Digit insisting that no, she’s not kidding, her spider senses tell her there’s someone else in the building…
I’m going to wonder just how long Paul has been sitting on that joke, chortling gleefully.
And the reason Bud didn’t hear what Digit heard, is that Bud wasn’t listening out for Eight-Legs.
A very large part of me thinks that Digit ISN’t kidding.

Remember, in the Wapsiverse, ghosts don’t exist
At least, that’s the story MIB are sticking to
Well, except for when the world anchors glitch and adjoining realities start to overlap…
Technically, those are still not ghosts
Was she? I wonder…
Please do NOT zot the second floor of the building off!
