I don’t think any such connection has been established. We know nothing of the teapot’s family save that they must have cared for and loved that little teapot… suggesting some amount of domestic tranquility and an absence of crockery-throwing fights.
Not only is assuming they’re related because they’re both Japanese a huge leap, but we know one is fae, and the other is a spirit created from a much loved household artifact. It would be a huge coincidence if the teapot in question belonged to Hiroshi’s family.
It’s canon that the Wapsiverse Fae are notoriously self-centered, to the point of being a race of sociopaths. Would they be likely to love and cherish a teapot for the century required to cause it to develop its own soul?
