    Just klonk `em, Dayla.

With her luck, and considering where they live, she’s be attacked by the legendary Rust Belt Zombies (they’ve been spreading outwards from their place of origin… the abandoned and decaying car factories of Detroit). Her metallic body structure would be no defense at all against them… that is, unless she uses a galvanising dip as a body lotion.

A dip in the Phosphate Solution will help to toughen her up…

Aha – good suggestion. I’m always in favor of health and beauty tips that involve creative uses of Coca-Cola.

      “Just klonk `em, Dayla.”

Is that anything close to: “Book ’em, Dano?”

When I was a kid I always thought the monster under the bed would go for my feet.

Yeah, that’s always where you’re most vulnerable. When I was still just a young thing, I’d always chain my ankle to the bedpost, just so I’d know they couldn’t drag me very far.

Because your feet are your primary method for locomotion as a child.

You’re kidding, right? As soon as you jump up out of bed (putting your feet on the floor) so you could run away, that’s when they’d grab your ankles & drag you to their lair under your bed. That’s when it’s all over for you!

When I was a kid, we lived in a mobile home (military family), and my room had a bed that was like the top half a bunkbed, with the lower area being my work area, bookshelves, and an old black-and-white television (after my parents got a color television) that I had at least until grad school. Above, I had about 18″ clearance to the ceiling (fortunately, I was [and still am] a claustrophile). And I knew the only monsters under my bed might be my mother’s cat and my cursive and/or English-composition schoolbooks (my least favorite subjects by far)!

      *shouting from under the covers*
Moo-om! There’s school books under my bed!

As a kid, there’s nothing scarier than school books…

I’m not pervy, just curious: what is Daylla wearing for pajamas that she won’t take her sweatshirt off?

I’m missing the reference Castela is making in the last panel

      I don’t think it’s a reference… she’s just messing with Daylla’s head, as friends do.

    Minor typo… s/b “the whole room’s covered”.

Perhaps The Ghost can play “This Little Piggie…”

Castella uses prehensile vine. It scales the crap out of her friends its super effective.

Did Pablo just “dim the lights” in all three panels, when he fixed the typo? I like the effect..

I notice that Timmie and Scarlet’s sleeping bags are no longer zipped together, as was mentioned they were from the last time they watched anime together. Wonder why they unzipped them?
