Evil most certainly DOES exist in the natural world. Just watch your sweet little pussycat with a lizard or rodent, or especially ripping the wings off little birds before suffocating them.

They are usually just try to learn how to hunt them, or had some bad experience with a similar kind of animal, and try to be more cautious with them (maybe revenge on the whole race, probably assuming, that all of those types are dangerous). Those are not intentionally evil.

Cats get gratification from playing with their food. I doubt they give any thought to how the food feels. If they’re not intentionally inflicting suffering, it’s not evil.

One theory I heard is that predators play with their prey to purge the adrenaline built up during the chase/capture.

Evil is a matter of perspective. It’s blunt but true. Case in point: The Nazi were undeniably evil however from their perspective they were actually helping the world be a better place by removing an evil. I would never condone such actions, but what some people consider evil, others might actually consider good. The truth of it is that which ever viewpoint wins determines the viewpoint of what is evil and what is not.

Dolphins regularly torture sea turtles with no intention to eat them, so yes evil can exist in nature

And they will rape (and worse) porpoises

What does the sea turtle call it?

It’s not like humans are special and separate from nature. Especially dolphins, octopuses, elephants and great apes are probably as capable of consciousness as us. They can worry about the future and probably imagine what someone else is thinking. Which makes them more human than psychopaths. But yeah, if you can do that, and you can see what you should do and can choose to do something else anyway, there’s evil.
