The Society for Not Ending Sentences with a Preposition needs to die in a fire, along with that stupid rule. Which never was a rule, but only a suggestion by some inkhorn busybody.
And the odd thing is, in Latin it is perfectly legitimate – and common – to end a sentence with a word-ending that serves the function of prepositions in English. So the notion that “it isn’t good in Latin, so you shouldn’t do it in English” doesn’t apply. (And that’s in addition to being silly – English grammar is derived from Germanic, not Latin, grammar.)
‘English grammar is derived from Germanic, not Latin, grammar.’ And in the other Germanic languages ending a sentence with a preposition is quite acceptable, not to say quite common (I’m speaking as a Dane with a fair knowledge of Norwegian, Swedish, German and Dutch – and while I don’t know Friesian, Faroese or Icelandic, I doubt they are any different in that respect)
I would like to point out that, unless I am mistaken, Cass is literally the membrane that envelopes the entirety of existance. It would be impossible for Cass to be unable to go see Shawna if she wanted to. Well not unless she was grounded.
Paul is on record as saying she’s a Pixie. Like many other para inhabitants of the Wapsiverse, they aren’t necessarily as portrayed in our own legends and mythology… Paul put his own spin on them.
Hope so. ‘Cause absence does not make the heart grow fonder.
Is there an actual place in the whole of reality where Cass could not reach Shawna?
Detroit.
Mike, Littlebub said “reality”.
Detroit is not part of ANY reality.
You’re right, my mistake.
Shawna is “supposed to be” the senior, but considering Cass’s true nature, things are a bit more complicated than that.
Maybe each of them has plenty of good things for the other to look up to, you betcha! (*)
(*) These last two words were brought to you by the Society For Not Ending Sentences With A Preposition.

It appears the notion came from a couple of guys in the 17th century with a Latin language fetish. (Joshua Poole and John Dryden)
Yeah, that’s what “inkhorn” means.
Oh, but the Society’s membership perks are so exceptionally good!
The T-shirts are to die for.

“Hey, where’s the Mens Room at?”
“One should not end a sentence with a preposition.”
“Hey, where’s the Mens Room at, a$$hole?”
(and the T-shirt, I see what you did there…)
It’s a rule, up with which, I will not put.

…Ruffled her enough to show all six eyes. 🙂
someone remind me what Shawna is again?
Pixie.
well my search only gets the two eyed kind, most spiders have six eyes, and even the honey bee has two large eyes, plus 3 smaller ones…
please supply link or pic???? 🙂

https://wapsisquare.com/comic/just-glowing/ has the confirmation.
ok.. so Hiroshi is a long nose wolf… and Shawna is a spider pixie or something…
Link to Shawna related comics… http://wapsisquare.com/character/shawna/
Don’t make promises you can’t keep Mr. Parker
Stela fits perfectly between the two squishies (just don’t squish too hard or they might explode… out of their confinements)
Speaking of Shawna & Castela, let us not forget this one: http://wapsisquare.com/comic/the-library-ghost-story/
(I esp love the ‘Ahead of the Game’ song…)
