My friend’s pants got lit on fire once. We were at an arts camp, and in circus, she did firestaff. So she was twirling her staff and she hadn’t dampened her pants properly and she accidentally lit them on fire. She was fine, though. But we teased her saying stuff like “So what’d you lie about?”
It’s good Monica has learned to recognize and break through thinking traps. Now if only I could learn the tricks she uses to deal with her inner demons…

A good distraction will get anyone to stop doing weird crap, like talking backwards. And setting someone’s ass on fire makes for a GREAT distraction.
